After a night’s sleep it was time to explore Punta Arenas. Our hotel was downtown across from the park with the Magellan Statue.

We were given a long shopping list for the trip.  I never knew there were so many kinds of fleece.  ANI inspected our equipment to make sure nothing was missing.  There was a North Face (and many other camping stores) near the hotel.
